Bit Rate

Bit Rate or Bitrate refers to fluctuations in Bit Resolution in a recording. A constant Bitrate indicates that the bitrate is the same for every part of a recording, a variable bitrate indicates that the bitrate changes during a recording usually for purposes of Audio Compression.
